what I took from this video is that after 45 days and 115 listings, and ONE sale, I now realize I am doing everything wrong! Glad I found you!
Thank you so much for explaining this step by step❤
I'm one that has a conversion rate problem. I use the growth plan of Everbee as well. I do my research I do everything I'm suppose to do yet I still have this problem! It's so frustrating that I was in tears yesterday and told my husband I don't want to do this anymore. Yet here I am once again trying to figure this out! Sept 1 will be 1 year for me with 29 sales and 16 reviews. I get a lot of visits and views, I don't know what the secret is to getting sales :(
Hello, what is your name of the shop? Maybe I can help you. More heads knows more. 🙏🏻
I feel you, I cry so much over this! I just said the same thing to my husband last night.
@@martinaplackova6191 sandraapparelandhome. I just changed it yesterday thinking maybe I should have what I sell in my store name
You aren't the only one....i have a shop with 1000 sales.. With 900 good listings and still frustaing... Got just 16 sales last month. And it's veryyyy slow
In the same boat.
I’m gonna focus on my designs & my keywords to help with SEO so I can start making some salesss! Thank you so much! I’m definitely gonna hit my August goal after watching your videos
You got this! Thank you for watching!
One of the best vids I've seen about breaking click through rates down, thank you! 🙏
That's so great to hear! Thank you!
Love your content, its been really helpful for me to growing, learning and making sales..i ben getting 1-10 sales daily but itd not at the amount and speed id like, i feel like i can grow way more that how im doing now. Its frustrating but its a learnig procces.and like you said..leveling up
Consistency is key! 1-10 sales a day is fantastic and where it begins! It will grow over time. You got this 😁
Enjoying your videos. Keep the good info coming.
Thank you so much!
Thank you. I am interested in starting a product shop but I am forcing myself to focus on my primary business until I reach a goal and then I will be ready to go. Thank you!
Best of luck! Thank you for watching! 😃
Class video first time viewer, its exactly what I was looking for. I've had my Etsy store SHRYZ for just over 2 weeks with over 130 listings I've been getting lots of views, over 10k but very little sales... in fact I got my 2nd sale as I was watching this video 😁 gonna be using the info you've shared so thank you! Got yourself a new sub!
Thank you so much! Congrats on that second sale!! I’m so happy to have you here 😊
@@TaylorPOD Thank you for the appreciation & for the value you add to the community. Gonna use the tip for keywords on my next listing today!
Thank you for this information! I liked your url tip to swap out star seller for best seller! My interest is also peaked on that Everbee listing analysis 🧐
Yesss! Thanks for watching 😃
Hi Taylor, thanks for this video, it's really helpful.
Is it possible to make a video of how to connect etsy with awkward styles?
Great suggestion! I will add that to my list of ideas for future videos 🙂
Thank you for this video!!
Thanks for this amazing video, i have a conversion problem and it is really frasturates me. Started to use ads recently and i always spend the budget fast, but i got only 1 sales. I use research tools, invested in good mockups from etsy. I dont know what to do.
I recommend asking family or friends to take a look and ask for their honest opinion. It could be your designs, it could be how the design is placed on the mock-up, it could be price (is shipping a factor?). It can be a multitude of things. Family and friends can give great feedback as consumers. I also have my coaching in the description if you wanted me to take a look 😊
Very good video thank you!
Glad you liked it! Thank you 😃
Thanks Taylor!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this video! I could use your opinion, I have an ornament shop with about 80 listings. I also have a fledgling mug shop with about 10 mugs. I need to do a lot of with on that. My question is should I keep them as separate shops so I only have one store? Should I drop them completely and start a new POD shop? Both of my shops are POD and I’ve really enjoyed those two. Thanks for your input!
I also think it’s better to start with just one product type in a shop. So having two separate shops is completely fine. It will typically take a bit longer to grow two shops as opposed to pouring your time and energy into just one. But it’s not impossible!
I used manual for relisting, and just like you said...I'm looking at some of these, ok most of these wondering what on earth was I thinking 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Glad I am not alone haha! It is a great reminder of progress made in creating 😅
🤣🤣🤣🥰@@TaylorPOD
Hi taylor,
Your content is awesome.
I started etsy ads and 😊I'm getting views but not getting clicks so its a click through or conversion problem?
I'm not sure
Great video. Ty
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
From my understanding as the address for nearly pensive every time somebody clicks on your shop through the ad it cost you $.50? I tried it for a day I did the dollar a day and believe it or not after two people clicked into my shop, I no longer had Etsy ads That is absolutely insane and ridiculous to charge somebody $.50 meaning the seller for one person to click in your shop and that doesn’t mean that they’re going to buy anything
This is an extremely small percentage for marketing cost. To market on any other platform - you will pay significantly more. The rate at which you are paying per click for Etsy Ads is also variable - it is not a set rate of .50 cents. There are times it will be less and times it will be more - this is all dependent on the keyword you ranked for the Ad. It is not a one size fits all. Etsy Ads are also optional and not required by any means.
@@TaylorPOD thank you for letting me know that I am a brand new Etsy shop store. Haven’t had my shop open very long. I did try the Etsy ads and I was charged a dollar per day which is the minimum but after two clicks my money ran out lol did not receive any sales for those clicks, but I do understand that advertising can be rather daunting and expensive for sure! I’m not quite sure yet I’m still trying to figure out the tags and the category in which I need to stick my items in I’m a little confused still on that I run a budgeting shop which is budgeted items related, so I’m still trying to figure out and master the understanding of titles, tags, and which category to put my items in. It does have a financial component to it so when I go to personal financing type of categories, there’s not one that really fits budgeting so I’m a little stuck on that as well, and I have no idea what kind of tags to use! Still trying to figure it out. Thank you so much for the information.
Should I run ad at the beginning. I only ask because I haven’t opened my shop
I recommend Etsy Ads from the beginning personally. However, it's ultimately your discretion as it does have a cost - Etsy Ads will provide you data, not necessarily sales.
Great video
Thank you Shane!
Thank you for your video, but correct me if I’m wrong , if we’re all doing research and pretty much trying to simulate what the best sellers are doing and using similar SEO’s How on earth can a newbie even get to page 10 of Etsy?unique designs that do not look like the best seller ones will never get a chance… I believe people will not scroll past page five looking for designs that are all so similar.. so these people will always be selling because they are star sellers and the Etsy algorithm will favor them always:(
I disagree with your statement of "Unique designs that do not look like the best seller ones will never get a chance". That is HOW I have found success personally. Of course, I can only speak from my experience. Bringing something unique to offer is what has driven me to achieving multiple best sellers. I discuss the use of Etsy Ads in many of my videos, I believe Etsy Ads really streamline the process of getting your item ranked higher in search. It's possible without them, just takes significantly longer. Etsy does not favor Star Sellers in ranking - they favor conversion. Etsy wants to make money just like you.
@@TaylorPOD Thank you for the feedback it sounds like you're one of the lucky few and happy for you especially because you've turned around and you're Sharing what you have learned... but if one is a best seller/star seller I do believe thier items will always feature in the top 10 or so pages and that is how they continue to make more sales because they are visible :)... yes I know I can place Ads and I have to choose a category that does not have thousands and thousands of them, which pretty much means trying to figure out the next best untapped niche and somehow drawing people to it for it to get traction. I feel like this is the secret sauce especially for newbies like myself.... I stand corrected:)
@@anm7018 You are welcome! I appreciate you being here and commenting. Don't forget a every listing starts with equal opportunity - no listing is a Best Seller right away, it all takes time. Which inspires me, because that means I have that chance as well! 😀
@@TaylorPOD Nicely said:)
Hi Taylor! Thank you for your videos! I need some advice - About a month ago I opened my etsy pod shop, where I sell restored art posters by well-known artists. I am up to just over 60 listings - In the last 30 days I have had 73 visits and only 1 sale (The one sale comes from a family member). I myself think I have a nice and well-designed shop with good products, mockups, my own logo, etc.
So my question is: Why am I not getting any sales? What can I do to get it going?
This, unfortunately, is just too broad of information to be able to assess what's going on. I do also want to mention that 73 visits is very few. When you consider the average conversion rate is 1-3%, you would need 100 views to see at least 1 sale. With that being said, I would begin taking a look at my SEO (if it were me) - you will need to increase your views to start gathering more information.
What about volume of listings? Is there a "magic number"?
I wish there was a magic number. Every individual is different. For some it may take 100 listings - for others 1000. I believe the value in creating listings is to gain experience and master the art of creating high quality listings that convert customers to buyers.
Some of these shops I can't come close to competing with idk how they can sell a hoodie for 22$ It's been a rough year but I haven't given up. I have 194 sales and 58 5 star reviews, but it's not helping I thought all the amazing reviews would but I was wrong..
could a no sales to begin with be a turn off for a customer?? and if u have no sales, they more likely wont buy nothing?? does likes matter on a item at all if u have no sales mark?
Thanks for the info, when dealing with POD products like shirts what colors would you use when they go crazy on the options?
Use color shirts that goes well with your designs. Not all shirts color look good with the designs. This is my opinion. I choose shirts color based on the design.
Agreed! I recommend only offering complimentary colors and I don’t feel that more than 5 are really necessary.
I think i have a convertion problem i got 1k views in ads but no sales 😢
If you have a product, can you alter the original listing to change the SEO or should you do a new listing? Thanks
You can alter the original listing - I do, however, recommend to let your SEO have a fair chance, it's not great to change it constantly. If a change is made, let that new SEO sit for 60-90 days and see how it performs.
Hi Taylor! Can you please help me with an Everbee question? I am not US based, so my Payment Processing Fee is not what the Everbee Etsy calculator shows (mine is more). Is there any way to change the setting, so I could get my concrete calculation exact? Thank you so much for your videos, I learn a lot from them :-)
Hi Taylor, I think UGLY sweater is a Trade Mark. Can I put Ugly Sweatshirt in the title? or I shouldn't put the Ugly (anything) in the title?
Please let me know, I need help!
Thank you!
I just looked into that on USPTO and I don’t see a registered trademark for the term “ugly sweater” under the 025 code for apparel. I see it trademarked for some other miscellaneous items. I would recommend looking deeper into the database and asking a trademark lawyer for proper guidance.
Hi. Are we allow to offer bonus free item if ask customer to do a review, follow and like? Or is it against the policy? If thats the case, can we offer free item just for purchase?
LOl your awesome and sound like me! 🤣🤣🤣
haha aw thank you!
Not getting any sales on my pod phone cases store even though I've started in a trending niche
There are many variables that could be causing this for you. It may be a trending niche, but are you targeting the right keywords, how is your design, are you using high quality mock up images for those phone cases? These are all questions I would ask myself to begin assessing areas of opportunity within my business.
Love your video. Would it be helpful if I get family or friend buy 1 or 2 of my products? That way I would have reviews and this can boost the shop appearance?
Absolutely! Share with all your friends and family!!
@@TaylorPOD how many buys I need though? I still want to keep this project private 😭
There is no “correct” number of sales you will need to see growth. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing it, then don’t. That’s what’s great about this - you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. 😊
@@TaylorPOD Thank you. I will see I can buy some just for myself first. You been great. Honest and helpful, where others all want you to buy their course. Looking forward for my first sell…🙏
Be mindful it’s against Etsys terms and policies to purchase items from your own shop. This puts you at risk for having your shop shut down.
Is your business a limited company or a sole trader , I’m unsure which structure I should do for my pod business
There are many professionals out there that could give advice as to what would be best for you 😊 everyone is different - depending on their goals and outcomes.
@@TaylorPOD ok but what are you , a sole trader or limited company ?
I have 15-20 listings on $10 a day but only spending $2-3, could that be because it’s mostly fall/Christmas & not here yet? New shop, I think my mock-ups are good so idk why I don’t have a good click through 😔
Absolutely that can be a factor! If you’re only offering seasonal items and it’s not the current season the search volume is not going to be at its peak yet. I would continue to monitor it. Holiday sales should begin to pick up soon 😊
Hi Taylor, thanks again for the helpful content! I reached out via your website but it didn’t say if the message was sent or not. No rush to reply, but can you confirm whether it sent or not? I’ll resend if it didn’t. Thanks!
I just checked and yes I received it! I will get back to you shortly ☺️
I may have a clue…. Maybe it’s that 300-400K what the video from the same person on RUclips and liste the same product which similar key words and use the same idea…. Maybe
7% conversion is good for new shop? My new shop has 7% conversions
7% conversion is fantastic! Great job!
Wow!!! Thats amazing
I find it hilarious how you are mocking those that don't have EverBee installed. But I would say your art doesn't look that bad, they actually look good and may be incomplete, they're a good start, and from there I could see how you would add more things to make consistent sales.
Hi Taylor, found your channel and I love your content. In your opinion, what is a good click-through rate and conversion rate?
Hey! You aren’t quite able to measure an exact click through rate however I’ve seen conversion rates of 1-4%. Generally with e-commerce they say 1-3% is standard. If a conversion rate is less than 1%, that would be a red flag to look into what may be causing that for me personally.
Is erank your main tool to design for ?
